I'm Arjun Dashrath, the person behind The Wrist Journal. I've been collecting watches for around five years, but the interest started before the collecting did. Watches fascinated me because even two pieces that do the same basic job can go about it in completely different ways. The mechanics, the design decisions, and the amount of thought packed into something that sits on your wrist are what pulled me in.

Why I Started The Wrist Journal

When I started looking for watch advice in India, I kept running into the same problem. There was plenty of good watch content online, but very little of it was written around the Indian market. Prices were different, availability was different, and a watch that made perfect sense abroad did not always make the same sense here.

The Wrist Journal exists to fill that gap. The focus is simple: useful watch coverage for people buying and collecting watches in India, with Indian pricing and availability kept in mind.

What I Write About

You'll find reviews, buying guides, comparisons, brand deep-dives, and articles about the parts of horology that make this hobby interesting. I cover everything from affordable everyday watches to enthusiast pieces, without pretending that a higher price automatically makes a watch better.

The standard I want to build here is straightforward: if The Wrist Journal recommends something, the recommendation should be worth taking seriously. That means looking beyond a spec sheet and considering value, design, practicality, pricing in India, and whether the watch actually makes sense for the person buying it.
